Use of NFC chips

NFC chips are used to identify the athletes. To use an NFC chip, it must first be added to the athlete's profile in our webapp. After that, it is immediately ready for use.

To personalize a run, you can hold the NFC chip on your CHRONOS device towards the reading area at the start, you will now hear an acoustic signal confirming the recognition of the NFC tag.

The subsequent time that is recorded is therefore personalized and you will see the athlete's name next to the time in the web app in the created event - the time is also added to the corresponding profile. As soon as a participant has carried out an identification on the CHRONOS device or the NFC reader using the NFC identifier, this can be deleted using the red X button. The identification is also deleted if a new identification is added using a chip before the Timing has been triggered again.
