Camera, microphone, and location permissions

Hello!

Ask me any question about Lympik.

Please be as specific as possible so I can help you better.

How do I upload data from Oculus to the Lympik web app? What do I need to consider before timing myself with Chronos? How can I analyze Oculus data? Why can't I see any results in my activity? How does video analysis work? Why are my times incorrect? How can I edit my privacy settings? How does payment for the software work at Lympik? How do NFC chips work? What should I do if my Chronos device has no reception? How do I upload data from Oculus to the Lympik web app? What do I need to consider before timing myself with Chronos? Lympik Recorder needs three permissions to work fully:

  • Camera - required to record video
  • Microphone - required to record audio alongside video
  • Location - optional, adds GPS metadata to your recordings for later context

The app requests each permission the first time you need it. You can decline location without losing core functionality - you just won't get location context on your videos.

Managing permissions later:

Open the Settings screen inside Lympik Recorder — each permission has its own row showing whether it's granted. Tap any row to jump directly to the correct system settings page for that permission. When you return, the app picks up your changes automatically.

If you accidentally denied camera or microphone during setup, use those same rows to fix it - no need to hunt through your device's Settings app.
